Kuwaiti crude oil price was down 73 cents to USD 104.91 pb on Monday, compared to USD 105.64 pb on last Friday trading, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said on Tuesday. The prices of oil on global markets were relatively stable due to the US policy-makers' failure to reach a deal to end the Federal shutdown. Meanwhile, oil markets await the US Department of Energy's crude oil inventory report which has significant impact on the world crude prices as the US is world's largest consumer of energy. The US crude price closed at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) at USD 103.39 pb, while Brent crude was traded at USD 109.83 pb.
