Kuwait Petroleum Corporation Sunday announced its May, April prices for Propane and Butane gases. KPC sold Propane at USD 735 per metric ton this May, down USD 55 from USD 790 last April, while Butane will be sold at USD 775 per metric ton this month, a drop of USD 60, compared to April price of USD 835. Gas prices continued to fall with Propane sold at USD 790 per metric ton last April, shedding USD 105 compared to March that registered USD 895. Meanwhile, Butane was sold at USD 835 last April, down by USD 60 compared to March that read USD 895. Propane and Butane prices are affected by fluctuations of the crude oil market, and the value of the US dollar also weighs on pricing, along with geopolitical factors and natural disasters. The two gases are used in the petrochemical industry, cooking, heating and other areas.
