
The Minister of Oil Engineer Makawi Mohamed Awad has underlined his ministry's determination to develop the oil industrial sector in the country.He praised the efforts being exerted by the oil companies working in Sudan. This came during a meeting he held with the Chairman of the Malaysian PETRONAS Company Azhari Jamil at his office Sunday, where the meeting reviewed the progress of the company's work in the country and the appropriate ways for its business development in the oil sector and augmentation of extraction rate in production, calling on the PETRONAS Chairman to exert more efforts to enable Sudan to return again to the group of oil exporting countries.The PETRONAS Chairman, meanwhile, asserted his company's readiness to increase oil production in the coming period, adding that the visit of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the PETRONAS to Sudan comes within the framework of impulsion of the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Oil and PETRONAS.The meeting touched on the forthcoming visit of the Chairman of PERTONAS Board of Directors to Sudan in the coming period.
