The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) signed a deal with Venezuela to import fuel from Venezuela, a Palestinian official said Sunday. Riad Al-Maliki, the Palestinian foreign affairs minister, said the agreement was signed in Caracas Saturday. The Palestinians import oil from Israel at steep prices. Al- Maliki said the PNA will talk with Israel on a new deal and may propose to import the Venezuelan petrol via Israeli ports or a Jordanian port in case Israel rejects the proposal. On Saturday, Caracas announced that a deal was signed to sell the Palestinians fuel with "fair price." Al-Maliki said the deal's tenure was five years and will reduce the PNA's "huge payments" on the oil imported from Israel.
