Israeli occupation opened the Karam Abu Salem commercial crossing with the Gaza Strip on Monday to pump limited quantities of the Qatari diesel fuel to run the only power plant in the sector. Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of Gaza's Supplies Raed Fattouh said that the Israeli side intended to allow 290 truckloads of aids and goods for commercial, agriculture and transport sectors through the Karam Abu Salem crossing. Limited quantities of cooking gas will also be pumped through the same terminal, Fattouh added. Karam Abu Salem, the only commercial crossing operating in Gaza, is closed every Friday and Saturday by the Israeli authorities.
