
Reliability at gas processing plants has mounted to 99.8 percent, the oil ministry said. The National Iranian Gas Company’s (NIGC) manager for coordinating and supervision on gas production, Mehdi Jamshidi, made the remarks, adding following four years of sustainable production, we has reached an important point which could be named ‘realization of Economic Jihad’. He added during the first 100 days of current Iranian calendar year, since March 21 2013, gas production at South Pars gas processing plants stood at 20.668 billion cubic meters, up by more than one billion cubic against similar period last year. The NIGC official further said that gas processing capacity of the country will rise to one billion cubic meters per day in 2015 and South Pars gas field which meets 44 percent of total gas consumption of the country, will play a great role in this regard.
