
Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports surged in June at a rate of 6.4% amounting to SR17117 million, increasing by SR1037 million compared with the same period last year, official reports said today. The General Statistics and Information Department said in its monthly report for June 2013, released to the Saudi Press Agency, that plastic and rubber exports and their products ranked first in terms of value by 31.42% out of the non-oil goods exports value which totaled SR5379, chemical industries products exports came second amounting to SR5330 million and transport equipment ranked third at a rate of 14.03%. The United Arab Emirates was the top recipient of Saudi non-oil exports according to the report, China second, and Bahrain third, the report added. Machineries, equipment and electric devices topped Saudi Arabia's imports in the amount of SR12933 million, transport equipment second, and ordinary minerals third. The United States ranked first as exporter of non-oil goods to Saudi Arabia, China second and Germany third, the report said.
