The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports for the third quarter of 2012 amounted to SR 40,620 million, down SR 4,836 million for the same period of the previous year by 10.64%. The report issued by Central Department of Statistics and Information pointed out that the exports of petrochemical products ranked first in terms of value by 34.87% amounted to SR 14,166 million, followed by plastic products worth SR 13,972 million by 34.40%, and foodstuffs by 7.01%. The report has shown that the Kingdom's imports for the third quarter of 2012 amounted to SR 138,623 million, an increase of SR 10,138 million for the same period of the previous year, an increase of 7.89%. The imports included machineries, electrical appliances, transport equipment, metals and their products; and foodstuffs.
