
Central Tenders Committee has received bids for project of paving the land allocated for a new oil refinery, said the head of the new refinery venture. Khaled Anwar Al-Awadhi, in a statement to reporters, said the CTC received the bids two days ago. They will be examined by the National Petroleum Company, in two days. The qualified company to launch the project will be chosen during two months, he added. Al-Awadhi, who was speaking on sidelines of the MEED Kuwait Projects 2013 Conference, said KD 220 million had been earmarked for the venture of paving the planned refinery ground. He also indicated that the six contesting companies offered to execute the project at a cost of less than KD 200 million
