Domestic petrol sales have increased 7.6 percent and diesel fuel sales have increased 11.8 percent in January 2013 compared to the same term in the previous year. Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) released Petrol Market Sector Report for January 2013. While licensed refineries produced a total of 971,032 tonnes of petrol and diesel oil, total production of petroleum products were 1,458,840 tonnes in January 2013 with an increase of 9.4 percent compared to the same term last year. Petrol exports reduced 4.4 percent to 207,171 tonnes in January 2013 compared to the previous month and 11 percent compared to the same term in the previous year. Crude oil imports reduced by 19 percent to 1,231,884 tonnes and diesel fuel imports reduced by 5.2 percent to 574,385 tonnes in January 2013 compared to the previous month.
