Crude oil prices topped $103 per barrel in New York, remaining elevated in advance of a U.S. supply report expected Tuesday afternoon. The American Petroleum Institute reported a large draw down last week. But traders are also focused on tensions in Egypt that may threaten supply lines. Egypt's interim President Adli Mansour released a proposed timeline for new elections, but not all political groups warmed to the proposal immediately, The Financial Times reported. In New York, West Texas Intermediate crude settled in recent trading, sliding 12 cents to reach $103.02 per barrel with prices close to a 14-month high. Reformulated blendstock gasoline slipped 0.18 cents to $2.8819 per gallon. Home heating oil shed 0.74 cents to reach $2.9727 per gallon. Natural gas dropped 3.3 cents to $3.708 per million British thermal units. At the pump, the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline was $3.483, up from Monday's $3.474, the AAA Fuel Gauge report said.
