
The Iranian oil minister named Hossain Kazempour Ardebili as the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Governor to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries in a letter he sent to OPEC Secretary General Abdalla Salem El-Badri. In his letter to OPEC’s Secretary General, Zanganeh wrote: Excellency I would like to bring to your kind attention that Mr. Hossain Kazempour Ardebili has been appointed as the Governor of the I.R. Iran at the OPEC Board of Governor, effective from 18th September 2013. Mr. Kazempour had previously been the member of the OPEC Board of Governors for the period of 1985-2008 and I am sure that his long experience on this position would be constructive for enhancing the solidarity of our organization. Please kindly circulate this letter among other member countries for their information. Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration and respect.
