Under the auspices of Grand Imam of Al Azhar Dr Ahmed el Tayyeb, a dialogue among representatives of the different parties of the conflict in Myanmar's Rakhine State will kick off on Tuesday.
This will be the first round of a civilized and humanitarian dialogue to achieve peace in the southeastern Asian country, a statement by Al Azhar said Sunday.
The dialogue is part of a role played by the Muslim Council of Elders to promote peace and co-existence in the world, the statement noted.
Participants in the dialogue will look into ways by which to achieve co-existence and reach a radical solution to the conflict in Myanmar based on the concept of citizenship, it added.
