
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will start on Tuesday a three-day official visit to Russia to boost bilateral cooperation and investments, the presidential spokesman said.
Alaa Youssef said Sisi's visit to Russia and his scheduled meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin fall within the framework of distinguished relations binding the two countries and the mutual determination to boost the strategic relationship to higher horizons.
The visit will offer a chance for promoting cooperation with Russia in the various domains, especially in the economic field, the spokesman said, noting that Moscow is a key trade partner to Egypt.
Sisi-Putin meeting will be followed by a working luncheon Putin will host in honor of the Egyptian president and his accompanying delegation at the Kremlin, the spokesman said.
The talks will address means of enhancing bilateral ties along with a host of international issues of mutual concern.
The talks will also tackle promoting Egyptian-Russian cooperation within the framework of multi-party international organizations.
The two sides will also discuss means of fostering economic ties and luring more Russian investments to Egypt in view of recently applied legislative and administrative procedures to encourage direct investments.
The two presidents will hold a joint press conference on the outcome of their talks.
While in Russia, Sisi is scheduled to meet with a number of senior Russian officials and heads of major Russian companies.
