Kristen Schaal, January Jones join 'The Last Man on Earth'

Kristen Schaal and January Jones have joined the cast of The Last Man on Earth.
The actresses, both 36, will star alongside Will Forte on the new Fox comedy. Forte created the series and will portray Phil Miller, the last human being on Earth, with Schaal as Carol and Jones as Melissa.
The Last Man on Earth follows Phil on his search for signs of life after an unknown event wipes out Earth's population. The show will include flashbacks, and Mel Rodriguez and Cleopatra Coleman also star as Todd and Erica.
Schaal is known for portraying Mel on HBO series Flight of the Conchords and Hazel on NBC comedy 30 Rock, and currently stars as Amanda on Hulu sitcom The Hotwives of Orlando. Jones will return as Betty for a final season of AMC drama Mad Men in 2015.
The Last Man on Earth premieres March 1, 2015.
