'Mockingjay' teaser features caped Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence radiates stoic leadership as Katniss Everdeen in the latest teaser for Mockingjay Part 2, released Wednesday.

In the brief clip, certainly the intro to the war propaganda to be featured in the film, Lawrence stands erect dressed head-to-toe in red armor and a large, gray cape. The Hunger Games actress stares into the distance and slowly turns her head to the camera as the frame zooms out to reveal that she is standing atop a statue of the series' District 12 hand gesture -- three fingers pressed together and held in the air.

The symbol has grown to become a statement of defiance for all of the districts throughout the Hunger Games universe, and surely maintains its role as a catalyst of change in the upcoming film.

The teaser was first posted to Jennifer Lawrence's official Facebook page, where she included the hashtags "#District 13" and "MockingjayPart2."
