
The 14th Malaysia International Travel Fair of Malaysia International Travel Mart (MITM), held by Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association (MCTA), kicked off at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre of Kuala Lumpur on Friday, drawing exhibitors from all of the world to push forward the international tourism industry.
Malaysia International Travel Mart (MITM) has become a major tourism exhibition in this region and earned itself worldwide popularity after ten years' development, said Bao Yixiong, President of MCTA.
He also said that this year's travel fair is attached with much more profound significance as this year is the Malaysia Toursim Year, and he also wished that this fair could provide a platform for exhibitors around the world to communicate, so that the development of international tourism industry is promoted .
This Fair would be much more colorful than before since the Hong Kong Disneyland and tourism authorities from plenty of other countries and regions have participated, said Huang Daimei, Chairman of the Fair's Organizing Committee.
She also said that apart from the consultation service, supporting service and airline tickets service, the organizer also launches a lottery activity worth 250,000 Ringit (78,171 U.S. dollars) in the wish that all participants could be satisfied.
With nearly 300 booths, this Fair lasts from Aug. 8 to 10, inviting over 70 exhibitors from a dozen countries and regions including the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Japan, Republic of Korea (ROK), the Philippines, Thailand, Chinese Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
