
Sharm el Shiekh port received Thursday a tourist ship with 1,827 tourists from different nationalities on its board.
The ship was coming form Safaga Port. They will visit Ras Mohamed and Saint Catherine tourist regions and will practice water sports.
Head of the Red Sea Ports Authority Hisham Abu Sena underlined the importance of beefing up security measures.
For his part, the spokesman of the Red Sea Ports Authority Abdel Rahim Moustafa underscored that the tourists come at a time a conference is being held in Sharm el Sheikh to promote tourism there.
Port Said Port received also a ship with 291 tourists on board, said Head of the Port Said Ports Authority Medhat Attia.
The vessel will head to Safaga Port, he noted.
