
At least 36 flights and over 50 trains were delayed on Monday morning due to dense fog in the Indian capital, officials said.
"Some 36 flights have been delayed while three others canceled in the morning. Similarly, 50 trains are running late while 12 others have been rescheduled," the officials said.
In fact, the national capital recorded a temperature of 4.2 degrees Celsius, four degrees below normal, with the weather department terming it as Delhi's coldest morning in five years.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature had plunged to 15 degrees, seven degrees below normal.
"Intense cold day conditions are expected to come," a weather official said.
