
Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said that the number of tourists coming from various world countries decreased by 52 percent during October to reach 559,000 tourists down from 1.2 million tourists who visited Egypt during the same month of the previous year. In its monthly tourist bulletin, CAPMAS explained that tourists coming from east Europe came in the first rank of tourists coming to Egypt during the month of October, then western Europe and the Middle East. Also, the number of tourists coming from Arab countries registered a decrease as their number reached 12,000 tourists during October in return for 221,000 tourists during the same month of the previous year, registering a drop of 45.6 percent.
