
As many as 5,645 Egyptian lottery pilgrims arrived in the holy lands to perform the Hajj (pilgrimage) so far, Chief Executive of the Egyptian Hajj mission Sayed Maher said Saturday.
Maher, who also serves as the assistant interior minister for administrative affairs, told MENA that 3,200 Egyptian pilgrims arrived in Medina, while 2,445 other arrived in Mecca.
He added that Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar follows up pilgrim trips to the holy land moment by moment.
The minister ordered officials of the lottery Hajj mission to intensify their efforts to serve the pilgrims and ensure they are performing their Hajj rituals easily and conveniently, Maher said.
The overall health condition of all pilgrims is reassuring. There is no satisfactory critical cases among Egyptian pilgrims, he added.
