The public bike system in Heihe City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, has partnered with its neighboring Russian city, allowing residents and business people to travel more conveniently.
According to the Heihe government, a cooperative agreement was inked with the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk, Amur Oblast, on the implementation of a public bike system.
The first phase will include 100 bike stations and 2,500 public bikes. Twelve stations and 250 bikes will be put into use in late June.
The bike rental pass will be usable in both cities, said a spokesperson with the Heihe city government.
