An Aeromexico flight traveling from Mexico City to Paris made an emergency landing in Ireland on Monday after an alert turned on in the airliner's cargo hold, the company said.
"In accordance with safety procedures, the crew decided to divert to Shannon Airport in Ireland, landing without mishap," Aeromexico said in a statement.
Aeromexico and airport personnel are "taking care of all the passengers" to quickly ensure they can reach their final destination, the statement said.
The airline did not specify which type of jet was involved, but Aeromexico has been using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner for its Paris route.
