
Air Asia on Friday launched a direct flight from Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, to Thai capital Bangkok, said the Yunnan Airport Group. The flight takes off from Bangkok at 9 a.m. local time and arrives in Kunming at 12:30 a.m. And the return flight departs 1:20 p.m. in Kunming and arrives in Bangkok at 2:50 p.m. local time. Last Dec., Air Asia increased its direct flights from Kunming to Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia, to one round-trip per day. The airlines plans to launch more international direct flights from tourism destinations of Kunming, Lijiang and Xishuangbanna to India and Southeast Asian countries.
