The Ajman Tourism Development Department, ATDD, will head the Ajman delegation participating in this year’s World Travel Market, WTM, in London.
The delegation will be headed by Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of ATDD, and will include Khulood Khalid Alnuaimi, Director of Tourism Development and Marketing Department and Hind Sultan Al Marzooqi, Head of Marketing and Promotion Section of ATDD and participants from the hospitality sector and travel agencies.
From 2nd to 5th November, the group will showcase the different attractions in Ajman to visitors and delegates of the exhibition. The team will meet with potential partners in order to attract more travelers from the European market, one of the target markets of the emirate.
Al Nuaimi said, "We want visitors and exhibitors to learn and discover what the Emirate of Ajman offers in terms of tourist attractions and ongoing touristic projects. We are working aggressively to inform travelers about tourism in Ajman and WTM is the right platform to meet with future partners who will work with us to reach our target of five million visitors to Ajman by 2021. WTM is a must-attend business-to-business exhibition for the worldwide travel and tourism industry."
He added, "ATTD had a very fruitful experience from last year’s participation. We were able to promote Ajman’s tourist attractions and met with partners to intensify our campaign in the development of the emirate’s tourism sector. With the partners we met, we gained a lot of significant insights on how to further strengthen our campaigns and activities in order to enhance the number of visitors to Ajman. We have seen the result of that effort on the increasing numbers of tourists visiting Ajman. Based on the statistics from last quarter this year, we have seen that more guests are finding Ajman a good destination when visiting the UAE."
