Cooperation opportunities in tourism have been the main focus of the discussions between Minister of Tourism and Craft Industry Nouria Yamina Zerhouni and Cyprian Minister of Foreign Affairs Loannis Kasoulides.
"We have examined the possibility to establish, in the near future, cooperation in the field of tourism, given the long experience of the Republic of Cyprus in the field," Zerhouni told the press Thursday at the end of the discussion.
Algeria is more interested in training and expertise, said the minister, adding that she expressed to her guest Algeria's needs for the development of the sector in the country.
"We will examine the proposals that have been presented to us and then we will decide the framework of cooperation and exchanges between the two parties," explained Zerhouni.
"With the aim to strengthen relations between our two countries, we have proposed our experience, our expertise and our advice in the field of tourism," said the Cyprian minister.
He also underlined the importance of the sector in his country, as well as the tourism potentials of Algeria and Cyprus.
Earlier this morning, Kasoulides held discussions with Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra and Energy Minister Youcef Yousfi.
The Cyprian Foreign minister, who arrived Wednesday in Algiers for a three-day visit, will also be received by Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal.
