Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Hisham el Naqib on Monday traveled to Kuwait on a consular tour that will last until January 30 as part of an integrated strategy to communicate with the Egyptians abroad.
"The visit is aimed at getting acquainted with problems facing the members of the Egyptian community in Kuwait," the assistant minister said in a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.
It will include meetings with a group of Egyptian expats and officials from the Kuwaiti ministries of interior and foreign affairs, he said.
He added that the meetings with the officials would discuss ways of overcoming any problems facing the Egyptians there, including fines imposed on invalid residence visas and getting work permits, he added.
