
The arrival of the first groups of Chinese tourists was celebrated at Aswan International Airport, CEO of Egyptian Airports Company said Adel el Mahgoub said Saturday.
The Chinese tourists were welcomed upon arrival by Aswan Governor Mustafa Yusri. The tourists were offered roses, Mahgoub said.
He added that Aswan Airport is scheduled to receive three fights weekly from China.
Public relations officers were hired at Abu Simbel Airport to provide necessary facilities to the tourists who will arrive to celebrate the phenomenon of the falling of the Sun rays perpendicularly on the face of King Ramsis II statue at Abu Simbel Temple, Mahgoub said.
