
Acting Assistant-Undersecretary for Tourism Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al-Khalifa led Bahrain’s delegation to the World Tourism Forum in Mallika, Malaysia. Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin attended the opening ceremony. Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al-Khalifa met Malaysian Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz and reviewed bilateral relations. They also discussed the possibility of reopening air lines between the two countries for Bahrain to become the main hub for Asian countries. The two sides also agreed to exchange technical and archaeological expertise. Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al-Khalifa stressed Bahrain’s keen interest in promoting relations with the Asian countries as Manama is being celebrated as Capital of Arab Tourism 2013.
