Cairo International Airport is highly prepared to receive the Arab and foreign delegations coming to take part in the inauguration of the new Suez Canal, said Aviation Minister Hossam Kamal on Thursday.
The minister told Al Nahar channel that the ministry promoted for the new canal by cutting down the price of flights to Egypt.
He added that the Suez Canal Development Corridor includes setting up a number of international airports.
He said the ministry is keen to take part in any project that would contribute to developing Egyptian investments.
The Aviation Ministry has contributed 100 million pounds to Suez Canal investment certificates that were sold to Egyptians to finance the building of the new canal.
