The shops and tourism goods chambers, headed by Mohamed al-Katan, launched its first campaign in coordination with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and hotels chamber, to control violated and unlicensed shops in Cairo and Alexandria hotels. This campaign is to activate decision no. 16 for 2004, indicating the dependency of all shops and bazaars to the chamber of tourist goods. El-Katan told Youm7 the campaign will be held every Monday and Wednesday up until July. It means to control any shop that isn’t licensed from either the Ministry of Tourism or the chamber itself. It was camper's request to the Minister of Tourism Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour to stop any contracts renewing licenses, except after presenting a confirmation of their payment of their subscriptions. El-Katan said these campaigns will interfere to control booths and small shops both in Cairo and Alexandria. The campaign’s main aim is to come out from its financial crisis, after stopping owners to pay their subscriptions
