Cruise ship removal expected in 2013

Removal of the wrecked Costa Concordia cruise liner should be completed by spring 2013, a cruise line official said Tuesday. Costa Crociere General Manager Gianni Onorato said he thought a salvage company would be hired by April 20 to complete the salvage work within the time frame, Italy's ANSA news agency reported. Onorato did not indicate how much of the luxury cruise ship, which struck a rock formation off Italy's Tuscan coast Jan. 13, killing 32 people, could be saved.
