A fresh direct air route is scheduled to be operated between Jordan's Amman and Egypt's Hurghada twice a week, Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Khaled Tharwat said Saturday.
The ambassador told MENA that officials of the Egyptian Embassy in Amman have made great efforts with tourism officials in Egypt and Jordan to launch the new air route to promote new holiday destinations for Jordanian tourists along with Sharm el Sheikh.
The embassy also seeks to take advantage of the direct air route between Amman and Burg Al Arab to promote the Jordanian tourism to Alexandria and the Northwest Coast, he added.
The ambassador has recently organized tourist trip to more than 55 members of the diplomatic corps, Jordanian figures and businessmen to Cairo, Luxor and Aswan.
