A drone passed within 100 metres of a Lufthansa plane landing at Warsaw airport, Poland's air navigation agency said Tuesday.
The plane flying in from Munich on Monday was at an altitude of around 700 metres (2,300 feet) when the pilots spotted the drone, but it did not interfere with the landing.
Police Tuesday said they had arrested the suspected operator of the drone, a 39-year-old man who lives near the airport. "A drone was also found," Robert Opas of the local Piaseczno police commissariat told the PAP news agency.
The man faces up to eight years in jail for endangering air traffic.
