
Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou discussed Sunday with his counterpart of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Elvis Mutiri ways of boosting cooperation in the field of tourism.
The meeting came as part of the visit of Prime Minister of the DRC Matata Ponyo Mapon to Egypt, and in light of Cairo's interest in enhancing ties with African states.
Zaazou and Mutiri discussed ways of promoting cooperation in tourism industry, especially in training, marketing, and tourist investments.
Egypt is ready to provide DRC with needed assistance and expertise, such as training in the filed of hotel sector and other tourist domains, Zaazou said.
Zaazou agreed to Egypt's participation in the international tourism fair, due to be held in the DRC on July 21-24.
