
Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left Riyadh on Monday after a several hours' visit to Saudi Arabia.
During the visit, the top Egyptian diplomat met with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al Jubeir on the sidelines of the Egyptian-Saudi coordination council meetings.
The two sides discussed a number of issues of common concern, topped by the Palestinian cause.
They also tackled the situation in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Libya as well as the Iranian interventions in the region's affairs.
The Egyptian minister held a joint news conference with his Saudi counterpart, in which he asserted the strength of the deeply-rooted relations between the two countries both at the governmental and popular levels.
