Emirates said on Wednesday that it would launch daily A380 flights to Rome starting December 1 this year, which is also when the carrier would start serving Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with the superjumbo, as announced on Tuesday. Italy's historic capital city, which is currently served twice daily by Emirates would be carrier's 16th destination to be served by an A380. "Coupled with a double daily service to Milan and a daily flight to Venice, the 35 weekly frequencies contribute to a $4.6 billion trade relationship between Italy and the UAE," Emirates said in a statement. It added that from October 1, 2011, the A380 will begin serving Johannesburg, and then Munich from January 1, 2012.
