Emirates Airline has established its presence at this year’s ITB Berlin with its giant globe stand, highlighting its success so far in 2012 with six new routes already launched. “With more than 11,000 exhibitors from over 180 countries and almost 170,000 visitors, ITB Berlin is a significant driving force for the travel industry,” said executive vice president – passenger sales worldwide, Emirates Airline, Thierry Antinori. “Emirates has been exhibiting at ITB Berlin for over 15 years and it is important that we continually have a presence at the show.” Emirates Airline’s globe stand took 10 days to construct and stands at 9.5 metres with a 65-metre circumference. It has the capacity to rotate 360 degrees every 37 minutes. On the ground floor of the stand, visitors can see replicas of the Emirates’ A380 Onboard Shower Spas and Onboard Lounge. A bespoke 140" multi-touch interactive wall allows visitors to discover the double-decker’s features and learn more about the airline’s services. The stand’s first floor provides spacious areas for business meetings, private conference rooms and catering facilities. The top floor provides a VIP area and Majlis for hosting guests. On the fringes of the stand, visitors can sample the exquisite Emirates' First Class Suites – available on the A380 and the latest 777-200 and 777-300ER aircraft. “In Berlin, Emirates is showing more of its A380 product than at any other international travel trade event outside our home of Dubai. We are happy to be able to showcase again the premium A380 experience to all ITB visitors at our spectacular stand,” said Antinori. “At the same time, with our recruitment presence on-site, we will be looking to attract more cabin crew to be part of the Emirates’ success story and to support our growing fleet of modern aircraft, including, of course, our flagship A380.” Also present at ITB is Emirates Holidays, Arabian Adventures, Congress Solutions International and Skywards.
