Tawfik El-Aasy, president of the Egypt Air Holding Company, said travellers who arrived late would not be fined and would be allowed to travel on the next available flight. Middle East Airlines has cancelled 50 per cent of its flights and instead will put passengers on flights taking off in the evening. Air traffic control has reassured travellers that the bad weather will not affect flying conditions, according to the Al-Ahram Arabic news website.
