
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met at the end of his four-day visit to Berlin with German Transport Minister Alexander Dobrindt to follow up cooperation between the two countries in boosting security at airports and means to activate German tourism into Egypt.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said the German minister praised Egypt as an important partner especially in the field of tourism, pointing out to joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of airport security and tourism.
The foreign minister thanked the German side over the wise stance Berlin adopted following the Russian plane crash in Sinai late last year, said the spokesman.
According to Abu Zeid, talks also touched on the vocational training program to be carried out by Siemens company in the fields of transport and railways in cooperation with the German Transport Ministry and Dresden University of Technology.
An agreement was also reached on the participation of the German transport minister in the visit expected to paid to Egypt in the first quarter of this year by the German deputy chancellor leading a businessmen delegation.
