
German Ambassador in Cairo, Hans Joerg Haber, said that German foreign ministry eased its travel warning to tourism destinations in South Sinai.
In a statement released by the German embassy in Cairo Sunday, the ambassador expressed his pleasure with this step, saying that it comes before the convocation of the Berlin Tourism Bourse.
The German Foreign Ministry is still warning its nationals against travel to North Sinai, including the border area of Taba, especially land travel.
Egypt launched an Arab tourism campaign for 2015 Masr Qareeba “Egypt is close”.
Prime minister Ibrahim Mahlab said that this campaign is a national project that requires Egyptian efforts, pointing out to the need for the participation of all sectors to activate it successfully.
He also added that this campaign would provide the necessary services to the Arab tourists and help them to identify the destinations in Egypt.
