A balanced strategy is being mapped out by Gulf Air Executive Committee to restructure the national carrier so as to enable it to achieve sustainability and support economic development in Bahrain. The new strategy, which has been initiated after the appointment of the company's new Board of Directors under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa last November, aims to improve the national carrier's services, upgrade its organizational structure and re-organise its internal operations in order to boost the company's dynamism and competence. The new strategy involves crucial measures to cut down expenditures, minimize losses and promote the national carrier's status as a main component of Bahrain's infrastructure.
