
The Kingdom of Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air and the "Challenge Bahrain" Organising Committee have signed a partnership agreement whereby Gulf Air becomes the official airline of the upcoming international triathlon championship, organised by Challenge Family and Nasser bin Hamad Foundation on December 6.
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS)'s Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC)'s President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed the support of Gulf Air and said that they are a valuable addition to the list of partners who have signed up for "Challenge Bahrain".
His Highness has stressed that the support of Gulf Air will contribute greatly to the event’s success and promote Bahrain's status as the centre of the sport of triathlon in the Middle East.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad pointed out that the support of Gulf Air for the championship confirms the wise policy towards sports events held on the island, which became clear through its support for many different events.
Gulf Air Acting CEO Maher Salman said that the sponsorship agreement represents a wonderful opportunity for Gulf Air to continue in its role as an ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He assured that Gulf Air are always looking for opportunities to increase awareness of the many attractions in Bahrain and to facilitate travel to the kingdom. This allows visitors to experience the true Arabian hospitality that is known at Gulf Air.
Bahrain Triathlon Federation President Shaikh Sager bin Salman Al Khalifa was delighted to have such an important company such as Gulf Air supporting "Challenge Bahrain".
Shaikh Sager added that the sponsorship agreement will contribute to the facilitation of travel to Bahrain, and give the kingdom the opportunity to welcome guests from around the world who will come and watch or participate in the event.
Shaikh Sager looks forward to benefiting from this partnership with the national carrier, and hopes to see more of the same cooperation in the future between the federation and Gulf Air.
