Jet Airways, India's international airline, will introduce new daily direct flights from Riyadh to Mumbai next month. It will also offer enhanced connections for flights from the Gulf for its Mumbai to Bangkok route from December 14, the airline said in a statement. Jet Airways said it is now the first carrier with twice daily frequency to Riyadh providing connectivity to India over its Mumbai hub. A third early morning service is being introduced between Mumbai and Bangkok which will connect with flights from and to Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait, Muscat and Riyadh, the carrier added. Sudheer Raghavan, chief commercial officer, Jet Airways, said, "Jet Airways has decided to enhance capacity on these three sectors to meet the growing demand. We believe that these new flights have the potential to serve the needs of our corporate and leisure travellers." Indian airline Jet Airways started daily flights from Sharjah to Thiruvananthapuram from October 30, adding to its flights from the emirate to Kochi. The new flights is the tenth daily service from the UAE to India and the 22nd Jet Airways flight from the Gulf to India. Jet Airways' Gulf network now serves 10 destinations in the region. The additional services to Thiruvananthapuram add to the airline's existing daily Gulf operations from Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Muscat and Sharjah, as well as Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam to Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi.
