Iran Air Managing Director Farhad Parvaresh said foreign airlines will be permitted into Iranian flight activities only if they are willing to work in cooperation with a domestic company. He made the remarks in reaction to a request by the Qatar Airlines for permission to conduct flights inside Iran. He explained that the Qatar Airline which is basically active in international routes is keen to use the opportunity of high demands for flights in Iran to carry out flights inside the country. Referring to the existing regulations which state that no foreign company is allowed to work in the internal routes of countries, he said the request is yet to be considered. Parvaresh noted that any foreign country seeking flights inside Iran has to work under the supervision of an Iranian company.
