Japanese airline "ANA" has ordered an additional seven A321ceo planes from European aircraft manufacturer, Airbus, bringing its total order to 37 from July 2014, Airbus said on Friday.
The latest order for the seven A321s is valued at around USD 870 million, at list prices provided by the manufacturer, but this does not include the 30 A320 and A321 carriers already on order.
Airbus does give discounts for large orders but the estimate does not include training, maintenance and spare parts.
"We are extremely pleased that such a prestigious airline as Japan's ANA, has placed repeat orders for our A320 Family aircraft," Airbus Chief Operating Officer John Leahy said in a statement from the company.
ANA has been an Airbus customer since 1987. The Japanese company also recently ordered a number of Boeing aircrafts.
Airbus said that it has received 11,500 orders for the popular A320 family of aircraft, which includes the A318/A319/ and A321 models.
Close to 6,400 of these planes have been delivered so far to operators around the globe.
