Jordan's income from the tourism industry reached USD 2.5 billion in July, 2014, an increase of ten percent, compared with USD 2.3 billion in the corresponding month last year.
The rise in income occurred due to the increasing number of tourists coming from Qatar, Libya, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, United States as well as Jordanians living abroad, Central Bank of Jordan said in a statement on Monday. Jordan turned to be a tourist destination for many countries in the region due to its many tourist, and entertaining sites and its security, and political stability despite political and security tensions in the countries of the region, the statement added.
