Jumeirah has expanded its sales presence in Asia with the appointment of a Beijing-based Sales Manager and a partnership with Heavens Portfolio as Sales and Marketing representative in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Heaven’s Portfolio is an independent company providing a full range of sales and marketing services for luxury class hotels and resorts around the world. It will focus on positioning the Jumeirah brand and execute Jumeirah’s sales efforts towards meeting planners and incentive companies, as well as groups representing leisure and corporate travellers in primary markets in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Meanwhile, in China, Jumeirah is now present in the Chinese capital with the appointment of Ms Selena Xu as Business Development Manager based in Beijing. Prior to joining the Jumeirah Global Sales Office, Selena was working with Beijing Raffles Hotel as Assistant Director of Sales and with Beijing Marriott City Wall as Director of MICE. Selena’s key responsibility will be to develop the Northern Chinese market to support Jumeirah’s global business expansion. Asia is a key region for Jumeirah Group. In addition to Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel, which opened in Shanghai in March 2011, the Jumeirah Group has a further five hotel projects under development in China, one city hotel in Bangkok and a resort in Bali.
