Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts is on track to open four new hotels before the end of 2012,the UAE-based operator said. The first of the four hotels to open will be the group's first European resort, Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa Mallorca in Spain on April 24. Jumeirah Port Soller is located on a cliff by the harbour village of Port Sóller surrounded by a pine forest and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The five-star resort comprises 120 guestrooms and suites and will be run by general manager Fernando Gibaja. The group's first Azerbaijan property, Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel, Baku with 176 rooms and suites will follow with a "spring" opening, the operator told Hotelier Middle East. In July, the 292-key Jumeirah Creekside Hotel Dubai is set to launch, offering extensive meeting facilities bringing the group's Dubai hotel count to eight. Existing properties include the Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Zabeer Saray on The Palm Jumeirah and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The last opening scheduled in 2012 scheduled for quarter four is the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa Kuwait with 409 guest rooms, suites, residences and seaside villas.
