A Kathmandu-bound passenger plane which was grounded Monday over a bomb scare was allowed to take off after hours of search which resulted no discovery of any explosives or bomb, said local TV channel NDTV.
The authorities grounded a New Delhi to Kathmandu bound passenger plane before its take -off, following a cryptic message from an anonymous telephone caller.
The flight belonging to Jet Airways was grounded minutes ahead of its take-off at the Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi, the Indian capital city.
"An anonymous telephone call to police, which was also intercepted suggested that there was some gift on seat number 18 inside the plane," an official said.
Following the scare call, bomb disposal squads were requisitioned and the plane was taken to the isolation bay for a bomb check.
The security officials also de-boarded 104 passengers and seven crew members from the plane and subjected it to thorough checking.
